Blackavel Systems · Legal
Privacy policy. How we handle personal information on this website and its LinkedIn integration.
01
Who we are
This policy explains how the operator of the Blackavel Systems website at https://blackavel.com and its associated LinkedIn integration handles personal information.
The operator responsible for this processing (the data controller) is:
- Legal name
- [ACTUAL OPERATOR'S LEGAL NAME]
- Contact address and country
- [OPERATOR'S CONTACT ADDRESS AND COUNTRY]
- Privacy email
- [MONITORED PRIVACY EMAIL ADDRESS]
In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" refer to that operator.
02
Information we process
Depending on how you interact with us and which features you use, we process:
- Information you provide: your name, email address, organisation, and the contents of messages or requests you send us.
- Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, requested pages, timestamps, and error or security logs generated when you use the website.
- LinkedIn information: account identifiers, authorised profile information, access tokens, Page identifiers and administrator information, and content or engagement data made available under the permissions granted to our application. We access only information needed for the enabled features.
Information comes from you, your browser or device, and LinkedIn when you authorise an integration or interact with content managed through it.
03
How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the website; respond to enquiries and privacy requests; authenticate authorised users; provide requested LinkedIn features; diagnose technical problems; prevent misuse; and meet applicable legal obligations.
LinkedIn features may include publishing and managing authorised posts and reviewing Page engagement. We access LinkedIn data during connection and when an authorised feature runs. The authorisation process identifies the requested permissions. We do not request your LinkedIn password.
We do not sell personal information or use it for advertising profiles. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about individuals solely through automated processing.
04
Legal bases
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Consent for optional integrations, optional tracking, or other processing for which we request consent.
- Our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the website, administering its services, and responding to enquiries, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Performance of a contract, or steps you request before entering one, where the processing is necessary for that purpose.
- Compliance with legal obligations, where relevant.
Providing information is generally voluntary. Without information needed for a request or feature, we may be unable to provide it.
06
Storage and international transfers
Information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, we use an appropriate mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or approved contractual safeguards. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
07
Retention and deletion
We retain personal information only for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the time needed to resolve an enquiry, provide an enabled feature, investigate a security incident, or meet a specific legal requirement. We delete or anonymise information when those purposes no longer require it.
We immediately delete LinkedIn API data and tokens collected on your behalf when you request deletion or close your integration account, except where retention is legally required. We also delete that data when the integration ceases operating or applicable LinkedIn requirements otherwise require deletion.
To request deletion, email the privacy contact above and identify the relevant account or information. We may request proportionate verification. Deleting our copies does not automatically remove posts already published on LinkedIn.
09
Your choices and rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your information; restrict or object to processing; and withdraw consent. Withdrawal does not affect processing lawfully carried out beforehand.
You can revoke our LinkedIn authorisation through your LinkedIn account settings. To request deletion of previously collected information or exercise other rights, contact the privacy email above. We respond within the period required by applicable law.
You may also complain to the data protection authority with jurisdiction over your circumstances, including where you live or work where applicable.
10
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information processed, including controls on access to personal information and integration credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
11
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the website or integration changes. The revision date appears above. We will provide additional notice or obtain fresh consent where required for material changes.
Send privacy questions, access requests, and deletion requests to the privacy email listed in section 1.
